I did this Tickletot for the Season 5 book of Awesome Marcus Ninja, I should probably wait until the book is out but I really like how it turned out & I wanted to show y'all.

I've been busting my ass tryin to make Awesome Marcus Ninja look dope. this is the raw image to #545 pt 4. it was suppose to be the last panel of page 3 but I decided that an appearance of a giant Manga-esque robot deserved an entire page. also, I tried to do some extreme perspective stuff. Yeah yeah, I know it's only 1 point perspective, but it's extreme for me.

Jesse is super talented and i really dig his take on Marcus.

Awesome Ninja Sketch - step by step

here's a step-by-step of a promo Awesome Marcus Ninja piece i did recently. step 1 is the original concept from my sketchbook. step 2 is the light pencils with a 4h pencil. step 3 is the finished pencils with a 2h and hb pencils. step 4, i've added inks with a Staedtler B and S marker (with India ink). step 5 , i realized that some shadows are missing around Marcus' midsection, so i added 'em in. step 6 is the finished product, coloured in Photoshop.

what do ya think? i normally skip some of these steps, to save time but when it is done the proper way the end result is usually of a higher quality.
