NEW Super Mario !!

I've been sketching a lot of Super Mario lately and I decided I would do a full color piece because he's fun to draw.  If you follow my twitter you will have seen these steps as I posted them already, but if not, here is the process from inks to coloring with Photoshop.  I'll post the finished colored version tomorrow.

I've opened a Deviant Art account called Pretty Good Art.

I'm not in love with the awkward layout of Deviant but I wanted to open a link where all my best work could be showcased in a gallery so that's the one I chose.

This is a pin up I contributed to Marvin Law's web comic 'SLAM'. This is my character called, 'the LoveToy'. He's a bit of a throwback to the ol' school era. He's one part 'Super Star' Billy Graham, one part 'the Model' Rick Martel.

Joker !!

I recently watched a video online that looks into Frank Quitely's home studio & he shows his present system for digital illustration using a Wacom Cintiq tablet. I caught a glimpse of one of his joker sketches & really felt inspired to sketch the joke man.This is colored with photoshop but the B&W inked image is 11"x14" smooth bleedproof paper & is for sale.

So, I've started doing a series of drawings based on some mugshots of shoplifters. This is the first.

Lightning

For a long time I've wanted to draw a Raiden-esque character, similar to the ones in the movie 'Big Trouble in Little China'.

Done with ink brush & felt tip pens on 8 1/2 by 11 bleed proof paper.
