Painting #2

This is the second of my recent paintings. There's three pics with different lighting because it was difficult to get a good one. I used a glossy gel mixed in with the paint to get a really thick texture.

Young Shaney : Green Lantern Painting

Another acrylic painting from the 2000 era. I think this is the first painting I ever did, excluding elementary school things. This painting is very inspired by one of the first few comics I ever picked up. It was a Green Lantern 3 issue storyline starring Evil Star and his minion's stealing Hal's Lantern.

It was written by Gerard Jones, art by M.D. Bright. Issues 26-28. I still find these old covers pretty amazing.

Young Shaney : Tick Painting

I recently dug up some more older stuff.

This is an acrylic painting I did in 2000, of the Tick and his pals.

I clearly had a lot to learn about anatomy, textures and lighting but still not the worst thing in the world. This is probably my second ever big painting.

So, Iby & myself have been tryin our hands at painting. This is my first attempt to paint in about 6 years. I am rather pleased with the result. Look for more paintings.
